online courses in society,
culture and planet

Your learning journey

Welcome to Think Learning. We are an online educational platform providing courses of study across the areas of society, culture and planet. We offer friendly and unpressured university style conversation and learning, taught by experienced academics and teachers. Our groups enjoy reading together, thinking together and learning together.

There are no assignments, no deadlines, and no requirement to talk if you don’t want to, just the chance to exercise your intellectual curiosity and expand your thinking. Whether you are looking to add to your CV, improve your reading, writing or essay skills, develop your knowledge and understanding, or simply want to get the mind going again, explore our courses or get in touch to find out more.

Think Learning online gives you the flexibility to study when it suits you, at any age, from anywhere in the world. Our courses range across a number of subject areas and levels of ability from beginner to advanced.

We run live online courses in the evenings and at weekends in the British time zone.

Each course is designed to broaden and deepen your knowledge and thinking about a range of ideas and questions concerning society, culture and planet.

We hope that our courses will motivate you to learn new things and that this will be empowering for you in your lives and conversations.

Mentoring

Think Learning offers a personalised and confidential mentoring service for people seeking one-to-one support and guidance for their studies and current projects. The scheme is designed to be flexible and decided upon by you in conversation with your mentor.

Our goal is for you to gain in confidence by seeing improvements in your work. We offer help with essay writing, dissertation guidance and presentations.

As required, we will read drafts and offer advice on grammar, sentence construction, and fluency, as well as on structure, argument and the content.

A learning community

Learning is nurtured in relation to others. Our online communities can bring people together from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, beliefs, and questions. We hope that you will find interest and challenge on our courses but also common ground with people you might not otherwise meet as you think and learn together.

We are often judged by how we communicate in the world. We can help to prepare you for this. Ideas and opnions are best communicated when they have been practised in conversation with others. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about how this works.

“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.”
